Before you begin "The 4-Step Process", if you have any casting
questions, consider talking with a real-live Casting Director, Faith Hibbs-Clark, CSA, (a member of Casting Society of America). The cost is $100 per call, for up-to
one hour per call. Specify the preferred time for the call, at the time of prepayment.
Provide optional convenient times. Have all of your questions ready.
|
|
1 |
Submit a completed Project Description
Questionnaire (follow the instructions on the form). After the Casting Director follows-up on
your questionnaire answers and gives you the go-ahead, you can go to Step #2. Allow for up-to 30 days for
a response.
|
|
2 |
Submit the screenplay with a non-refundable reader fee of $40,
payable to GOOD FAITH CASTING. (See payment instructions below.) One of three possible results may occur.
After it's read, you will be notified of either (1.) acceptance (and invitation to continue); (2.) rejection
without a chance for reconsideration; or (3.) rejection with a "needs work" with the option to
resubmit when changes have been made (requires new $40 reader fee when resubmitted). If accepted with an
invitation to continue, go to Step #3.
|
|
3 |
Casting director will contact your designated primary contact person and request
reels, budget, business plan, latest script, budget one-sheet and bios of director and producer. After
received and evaluated, if all items are acceptable, then contact person will receive the OK to go to Step #4.
|
|
4 |
The agreement below is to be signed by producer and Casting Director.
Producer pays GOOD FAITH CASTING the total amount tallied from prices shown below. Producer is to deliver 7
copies of the most recent completed script to GOOD FAITH CASTING. Casting Director begins contacting
actors through their representatives after payment and scripts have been received. Response time
varies. Expect 3-6 months, depending upon the task at hand. |

Ala Carte Casting Solutions (Prices are subject to change.)
|
Deal #1 -- Casting Director Acquires
a Letter of Intent from a Specific Actor.
Price
is per character. |
|
Getting started is easy. Follow the "4-Step Process" above. When you get to Step #4,
payment for this item applies. From the description of
each character that you provided in Step #1 (the Project Description Questionnaire), the Casting Director
will attempt to secure a Letter of Intent from your
first 3 actor choices for each character, along
with their approval for producer to use actor's name and likeness for financing and marketing efforts. If Casting Director can't secure a Letter of Intent from the first 3
choices, she will ask you for the next 3 alternatives. If you can't supply
alternatives, she will suggest 3. When an acceptable final 3 have been specified,
she will approach them. A maximum of 6 actors will be contacted for each role.
Due to the amount of work involved, no refund or credit will be
given should all 6 decline. This deal involves no
auditions or casting calls. Look
below for specific audition charges. Note, you must agree to submit your project information to
IMDB.COM, during the development stage, indicating Faith Hibbs-Clark,
C.S.A. exclusively as Casting Director. You must also agree to list Faith
Hibbs-Clark, C.S.A.
as Casting Director in
screen credits, at her prerogative. Producer must also grant Casting
Director the right to audit all final negotiated actor contracts, to
determine the incentive bonus of '1% of all speaking actors' total fees (including deferments)',
which is to be paid by Producer to Casting
Director on the first day of principal photography. |
|
$1,075 |
Deal #2 -- Casting Director Acquires
a Letter of Intent from a Non-Specific Actor.
Price
is per character. |
|
Getting started is easy. Follow the "4-Step Process" above. When you get to Step #4,
payment for this item applies.
Deal #2 is just like Deal #1, except that the Casting Director
suggests the first 3 actors to be approached for each character desired. Once approved, if those
3 are approached and they decline, then just like Deal #1, she will suggest 3 more and once approved,
approach them. A maximum of 6 actors will be contacted for each role. Due
to the amount of work involved, no refund or credit will be given
should all 6 decline. Just like Deal #1,
no casting calls or auditions are included in this price. Look
below for specific audition charges.

Statement of Understanding
|
|
Producer agrees that Faith Hibbs-Clark, C.S.A. will be designated as the exclusive 'Casting
Director".
Producer agrees to submit the project information to
IMDB.COM, during the development stage, designating Faith Hibbs-Clark, C.S.A.
as the exclusive Casting Director. Producer agrees to list Casting Director in
screen credits, at her prerogative.
Producer agrees to provide Casting Director with timely script revisions, the SAG project
#, and indication that there will be adequate insurance and completion bond coverage.
After the project is submitted to her, (through following the "4-Step
Process" outlined above), Casting Director will perform the commissioned tasks, reporting
back to the producer via e-mail at least every 3 (three) weeks, until the task has been completed. A maximum
of six actors will be contacted for each character role. Due to the
amount of work involved, no refund or credit will be given should all six
decline.
Producer acknowledges that the Letter of Intent
acquired from each actor specifies neither a time nor an amount to be offered -- and, that, if nudity is required
for the role, the actor will be informed, but isn't bound at the time of signing a Letter of Intent (a separate SAG
Nudity agreement will need to be signed at a later date, as part of the Letter of Attachment or Pay or Play
Contract, to be handled by Producer's entertainment attorney).
Producer acknowledges that there are no auditions or casting calls for Deal #1 and Deal #2 above,
which are only inquiries for participation, with the outcome being a Letter of Intent and the authorization to use
actor's likeness and name for financing and marketing efforts. Casting calls and auditions can be
commissioned as Ala Carte Casting Solutions (see descriptions and prices above).
Producer agrees to Casting Director's incentive bonus of '1% of all speaking actors' total
fees (including deferments)',
which is to be paid by Producer to Casting
Director on the first day of principal photography. Producer also agrees to allow Casting Director to
audit final actors' contracts to determine base for incentive bonus.
Producer indemnifies and holds harmless James E. Tessier, owner of Surfview.com (Surfview
Entertainment®) and acknowledges that Faith Hibbs-Clark, C.S.A. and Good
Faith Casting are 100% responsible for the fulfillment of this transaction
as described in this statement of understanding.
Producer also indemnifies and holds harmless James E. Tessier, owner of Surfview.com (Surfview
Entertainment®), Faith Hibbs-Clark, C.S.A. and Good Faith Casting from any
liability related to Producer's project.
|
Understanding these things, the undersigned producer agrees to the terms above and will
respond in a timely manner to Casting Director's correspondences. |
